I have been really needing more surge protectors around my home, and I chose this one because of the standard outlets and USB outlet combo's. I love that I can use anything I need to in this surge protector. So many lights and fans nowadays need a USB port, so now if the situation arises, I have the ability to use a USB device if needed. So far, this has really fit my needs in my bedroom. We now have a power strip on both sides of the bed. This one is on my Husbands side. We have a fan plugged in, a diffuser, a projector lamp, and a regular bedside lamp plugged into it. We typically may only use up to 3 of these items at one time which may include the fan, projector lamp and the diffuser. Typically only the fan ends up running on it most of the time. I haven't had any issues, it seems to work very well. I want to note that the Amazon picture shows that the "protected" lights are green however, the lights are actually red. So far this power strip has been wonderful to us! I received this product at a discount, in exchange for my honest review.
