I have never been one to paint my nails very much however, I haven't seen what my 16 year old Daughter's bare nails in years. She is really into keeping her nails colored and beautiful and she is a little Artist about all of her art, including her nails. This light I ordered specifically for her. I think it is really neat. From what I understand, you use a specific type of polish which is called LED GEL polish. The Gel Polish can only be cured by an LED lamp. LED polishes is wonderful due to it lasting much longer than regular polish from what my Daughter has told me. The LED lamp has no harmful UV exposure which I personally love! The lamp has 4 settings for use. You can set it at 10 seconds, 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or 3 minutes (The lamp itself say 300 seconds which is equivalent to 3 minutes.) When I placed my hand under the LED light, I instantly could feel warmth from the lights. I was impressed because it felt so similar to a UV lamp. That same comfortable warmth. The lamp is powered by an AC Power adapter which I am really happy about because I run through batteries like the weather changes. This is a really nice little UV lamp that every girl or woman who uses LED GEL should own! I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review.
