This really is a fantastic knife set. They are beautifully sharp, so sharp that I can cut tomatoes in very thin slices and the tomato doesn't even squish! My Daughter has been begging me to replace my knife block set that I got 10 years ago as a gift from my Wedding. Those knives have never been sharpened and have somewhat dulled over the years. I really do love these knives. The absolute only reason I chose not to give these knives a 5 star rating is because the bamboo on my set seems to splinter. That kinda broke my heart a little when the first one chipped, and this morning another. I had never used ceramic knives before and I am definitely sold on the durability, quality and sharpness of ceramic knives however, I feel the bamboo handles need something to prevent the splintering. I really love that these are rust proof and resistant to germs! I love that this is a great modernized update to stainless cutlery. I actually like this set so much that I am afraid to set them in my sink to wash later because I feel the need to clean them immediately to keep them nicer longer. Now that I know how wonderful ceramic knives are, I can finally show my friends and family with confidence, that these types of knives are very much worth investing into. I used them to cut potato's the other night and my hands didn't hurt afterwards. Also, I didn't have to push through the potato very hard. The cuts were efficient and very clean. Regardless of the splintering, I am still a satisfied customer. I received this product for free, in exchange for my honest review. Opinions expressed are 100% solely my own.
